Como pedir e dar direções em inglês
Para encontrar um lugar em uma cidade, comece com Excuse me e pergunte: Where is the station? Is there a bank near here? How do I get to the museum? Você também pode perguntar Is it far from here? e How long does it take?
Quando der indicações, use instruções curtas: Go straight on. Turn left. Turn right. Go past the bank. Take the second street on the left. Cross the road.
Para dizer onde fica um lugar, use palavras de lugar: next to, opposite, on the corner, between, behind, on your left. Termine com You can't miss it, ou It's about five minutes on foot. Se não entender, pergunte Sorry, can you repeat that, please?
Aqui está um diálogo modelo. Tourist: Excuse me, how do I get to the museum? Local: Go straight on and turn left at the traffic lights. It's opposite the park. Tourist: Is it far from here? Local: No, it's about five minutes on foot. You can't miss it. Tourist: Thanks a lot for your help.
Perguntas frequentes
Comece com Excuse me e depois faça a sua pergunta: Excuse me, where is the station? No final diga Thank you ou Thanks a lot for your help.
Qual é a diferença entre next to, opposite e between?
Between significa que há um lugar de cada lado: between the bank and the shop.
O que significa You can't miss it?
Diga Sorry, can you repeat that, please? ou Can you speak more slowly, please?
