Why this site exists
About FluencyRoad
Most English practice sites either lock the good exercises behind a paywall or explain a rule and leave you to guess whether your answer actually made sense. FluencyRoad is my attempt at the version I wanted as a learner: every exercise pairs instant feedback with a real explanation of why, not just whether you got it right — like a page marked up in red pen, not a pass/fail score.
Everything is tagged by CEFR level (A1–C2) and grouped around the grammar and vocabulary topics people actually search for — verb tenses, modal verbs, phrasal verbs, gerunds and infinitives, and more. You can work through all of it without creating an account; signing up just adds the ability to save your scores and pick up where you left off later.
Every exercise is also downloadable as a free PDF worksheet with an answer key, in case you'd rather print it out or hand it to a student.
